Bhindi do Pyaza


Ingredients:

  • 1 lb Bhindi, sliced
  • 2 Onions, thinly sliced
  • 2 tsp Cumin seeds
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1" Ginger, grated
  • 3 Green chillies, chopped
  • 1 tsp Garam masala
  • 1/2 cup Yogurt, beaten
  • 2 tbsp Oil
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tsp Kalonji/nigella seeds (optional)

Method:

  • Heat the oil in a pan and add the cumin seeds, when they start to crackle add the onions, turmeric powder, ginger paste and green chillies and fry till the onions are tender.
  • Add the bhindi and fry on medium heat till the bhindi is tender.
  • Add garam masala, salt and mix well.
  • Add the beaten yogurt and cook till the curds dry.
  • Remove and serve hot.
