Ingredients:
- 1 Cup poha / rice flakes (thick)
- 1 potato, cubed
- 1 onion, sliced
- 4 green chillies
- 1 tbsp peanuts (optional)
- 1 tsp mustard seeds
- A large pinch of turmeric
- A pinch of hing
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 1 tsp Channa dal
- 1 tsp urad dal
- few curry leaves
- chopped cilantro
- 1 tbsp lemon juice (optional)
Method:
- Rinse poha and leave it to drain.
- Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, channa dal, urad dal and fry till dal turns golden brown.
- Add the green chillies, curry leaves and fry for a minute.
- Add onions, potatoes and fry till they become soft.
- Add turmeric powder, salt and drained poha and mix well.
- Remove and add lemon juice and give it a quick mix.
- Garnish with chopped cilantro and serve hot.
